Access Translating’s recent Workshop on the Transcription and Translation(TT) of Forensic Recordings (to our knowledge, the first and only hands-on TT workshop in the continent) was lauded by participants. Held on Martin Luther King weekend and hosted by TAPIT and TFLI, the 3-day session presented by TT maven Judith Kenigson Kristy was attended by aspiring and expert TT practitioners from across the country. Translators and interpreters from as far afield as Kansas, New Jersey, and North Carolina flocked to this innovative one-of-a-kind workshop to hone their skills and share new technology in this ever-changing field of evidentiary expertise . For more information about TT, read NAJIT’s Position Paper (co-authored by Ms. Kristy) on this subject.
